The origins of Netwo

Nearly 20 years of experience in telecoms

Our history is closely linked to that of Bruno Veluet, our Chairman and co-founder. In 2004, he embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure at the heart of the sector he was passionate about: telecoms. At the head of an operator, he was confronted with the recurring problems of the market: direct and indirect sales, administrative management, IS performance and agility, and even the management of a network infrastructure.

To hear and carry the voice of alternative operators

But it was in 2017 that Bruno really started to design Netwo. At that time, he was appointed vice-president ofAOTA, the Association of Alternative Telecom Operators (of which he is now President). He thus became one of the representatives of the local players in the French market, who are struggling to make their mark against the ultra-dominant Orange and SFR. " But their position is not simple," he notes. " On the one hand, they are in competition with these two operators. But on the other hand, they have a client-supplier relationship with these same players.

Bruno's activity within AOTA allows him to gain an in-depth understanding of the B2B telecom ecosystem. This is because the members of the association are generally regional, and therefore not directly competitive. As a result, the floor is wide open: alternative operators do not hesitate to share their problems and seek solutions together. " I then realise that all of them are more or less faced with the same problems. You have to find the right infrastructure, ensure interconnection, identify the software that will enable you to manage your business on a daily basis, and integrate it into your IS.

Netwo: a tool designed by and for service operators

These exchanges, as well as Bruno's 18 years of experience in the sector, " helped inspire Netwo ". As vice-president of AOTA, he first thought of setting up an economic interest grouping (EIG) within the association. But unsolvable questions, particularly concerning governance, made the project unfeasible. From then on, the solution became clear to the manager: to create a reference tool for you, the alternative operators, to answer all your problems.

But how can you be sure that your requirements are met? By directly involving potential users in the construction of Netwo! So, even before designing the product, we interviewed many operators. AOTA members of course, but also other market players, in order to have an exhaustive vision of your needs. The result: a simple and complete platform, facilitating your daily activity as a service operator.

Our credo: freedom, simplicity, interconnectedness

In concrete terms, we are proposing to make the telecom operator's job easier by bringing together two models. " Netwo is, on the one hand, a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that allows you to centralise, simplify and automate the various tasks linked to the activity of a telecom operator. And on the other hand, a telecom marketplace, offering access to a multitude of national, regional and local infrastructures ", describes Bruno. " Netwo is not the intersection of these two models, it is their union. And this union is your strength.

Freedom of choice multiplied by 3

1. Netwo as an aggregator

If you need to interconnect with infrastructure operators, you can use Netwo as an aggregator. In this way, you retain a high degree of freedom in the choice of your suppliers. We buy the infrastructure on your behalf and sell it to you, link by link, in full transparency.

2. Access new infrastructure via the marketplace

You also have the possibility to establish new contractual links with infrastructure operators present on the Netwo marketplace. In this case, we enable you to simplify the interconnection work considerably, both at the network and IS level. As soon as the agreement is signed with your supplier, you will benefit from a functional link, both from an IT and telecom point of view, without any effort.

3. 3. " Come as you are ".

But you may already have suppliers, interconnections, contracts... We have something for you too! In just a few clicks, our platform allows you to automate flows with your infrastructure operators and to simplify IS interconnection. In addition, you retain full control over the contractual relationship and the telecom interconnection in the datacenter.

A marketplace that simplifies the purchase and (re)sale of infrastructure

Our platform makes it easy for you to find new suppliers. And without having to pay collection gate costs or service access fees. But you also have the opportunity to add value to your own assets. Because you may be a service operator and an infrastructure operator. So don't hesitate to offer your infrastructure for sale, directly on the marketplace!

Similarly, if you do not use the entire infrastructure negotiated with a supplier, you have the possibility of reselling part of it on our platform. This way, you get the most out of your investment!

An API for up-to-date product information

Our API-first approach aims to unify the various IS in the market. The result: simplified interconnection between service providers and infrastructure providers, and the possibility of automating the flows between the players. In this way, you can focus on your core business and high value-added tasks.

For example, this interconnection makes it possible to pass on each update of an operator's product catalogue to all its customers. This ensures that you always have the latest information from your suppliers in real time.

Our vision: the one-click operator

All these innovations are intended to simplify the telecom operator's job and thus encourage the arrival of new players on the market. In the long term, we intend to allow everyone to start their own business, with just a few clicks. This is the one-click operator model: becoming a service operator in one click (or two, perhaps!). This will help to maintain a rich French ecosystem, made up of players capable of challenging the current duopoly. The ambition is then to reproduce this virtuous model on other European markets.
